*a note on design: Although the appearance of the world headquarters is obviously backwards-looking, or, as the thinkfluencers like to say, skeuomorphic, this isn't really out of any disdain for any progressive ideas about web design, and it's not a visual sigh about having to be online in this digital day and age. I just designed it myself and don't have the time to really be fancy. It is true, though, that I had to resist putting the whole thing in a typewriter font. Was that the right decision? Or am I just not owning an obvious desire to pretend it's 1924 again and people are excited about the next novel, and someone is about to start the New Yorker and magazines sell hundreds of pages of ads every week, and everybody is assembling in brilliant salons, etc.?
